Performance Sessions

Performance sessions are a casual time for students to perform in front of a small group of studio families and peers. Students will sign up, in advance, for one of the 30-minute time slots available on performance session day. Students will arrive at the studio and head upstairs with their family and friends to our group room, where they will be greeted by our friendly staff. Approximately 5 students will then take turns performing one piece, in which they have been working on, in front of the other students and families. Performance sessions provide an opportunity for students to enhance their performance skills. Playing music in front of others can feel different than practicing on your own, so it is important to have opportunities to perform for others. This casual time of performances helps to prepare students for the recital at the end of the session and builds their confidence to make them better performers who can share their music with others.
